OTENTIK TSO
ISO 22376 Visible Digital Seal
Otentik ensures the authenticity and legitimacy of the billions of objects, goods, and documents use or consult daily using open standards.
First Scheme Operator under VDSIC
Otentik is the first accredited operator under the Visible Digital Seal International Council (VDSIC). We manage our VDS network by maintaining official lists of accredited service providers. We define and enforce specific policies—covering security, technical and operational requirements—that these providers must meet. Our policies also govern the creation, assignment and usage of unique VDS identifiers, ensuring that each identifier is generated, signed and published in accordance with those requirements and used correctly. We oversee all trust service providers to ensure ongoing compliance.
Secure sensitive data.
Visible digital seal
At the heart of the Otentik network is a Visible Digital Seal (VDS). It is a 2D barcode applied to the document or object. It includes key data that is electronically signed to detect tampering and to confirm the authenticity and legitimacy of the issuer.
The Otentik VDS already complies with ISO 22385 :2023 and ISO 22376 :2023 standards. It is the evolution of the ANTS 2D-Doc Standard, in operation since 2012.

Use cases
Network operations are delegated to Trusted Service Providers (TSPs), ensuring compliance with the highest standards of security and reliability.
User experience
We have architected the Otentik network to deliver trust. The Otentik VDS goes a step further by providing a consistent user experience across VDS readers and devices.
Aim. Click. Trust.
It is as easy and natural as taking a picture: VDS are validated using a mobile or web application. The output will be consistent across all devices to increase confidence. For commercial and industrial use cases, organizations can also leverage their existing systems equipped with 2D barcode or RFID readers.
Network Governance

The Otentik Trust Network is a recognized trust framework that enables secure verification of documents and objects. It adheres to the governance rules set by the VDSIC, which ensures data standardization and promotes VDS technology adoption. By connecting users verifying authenticity with certifying entities, Otentik fosters a seamless and reliable trust ecosystem.
